Index funds, explained without the jargon

An index fund holds every company in a market index instead of a handful picked by a manager. You own a small slice of many businesses, so one company's bad year matters less.

Why fees matter

Over decades, even a small difference in yearly fees compounds into a large difference in what you keep. Fees are one of the few things you control.

Diversification in one line

Spread money across different companies, sectors and, if you like, countries. Investments can lose value, and past performance does not predict future results.
